"Moody & Friends" Benefit Concert
for Jazz Scholarships at Purchase College

Legendary Jazz saxophonist and NEA Jazz Master James Moody headlines the concert. Joining Moody on stage will be Howard Alden, guitar; Bill Charlap, piano; Todd Coolman, bass; Max Darche, trumpet; NEA Jazz Master Paquito D'Rivera, clarinet; Jon Faddis, trumpet and music director; Roberta Gambarini, vocals; Andrew Gould, saxophone; Roy Hargrove, trumpet; Antonio Hart, alto saxophone; Jon Hendricks, vocals; Dennis Mackrel, drums; Russell Malone, guitar; Jeremy Monteiro, piano; Jimmy Owens, trumpet; and Renee Rosnes, piano.

Tickets are $100/person; the ticket price does not include food or drink. $40 of the ticket price is tax deductible. Proceeds benefit the James Moody Scholarship Fund, established by James and Linda Moody to create opportunities for the next generation of jazz masters.

* NEW VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT *

A limited-edition, signed lithograph of original artwork, "WOLF TRAP," by artist & musician TONY BENNETT is being contributed to the "Moody & Friends" event for silent auction! This wonderful lithograph, measuring 24x28.5 inches (including a white border), will be available for silent auction bids and purchase on Monday, March 31st, at the 2008 "Moody & Friends" event. The minimum estimated value of the lithograph is US$1,150; bidding will start at US$500. All proceeds will benefit the James Moody Scholarship fund.
